DEPOSITS: When you book, a deposit equal to one night's stay and applicable taxes will be charged to your credit card.
TAX: Includes Maine State Lodging Tax of 9%
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES: Check-in time is between 3 PM and 8 PM. We are sorry, but we generally cannot accomodate early check in. If you will be arriving later than 8 PM - please just call ahead to let us know.Check-out time is 10 AM.
CANCELLATIONS and CHANGES: If your travel plans change and you must cancel or change your reservation: The Cottage Street Inn is a small, privately owned business. Due to the size of our Inn cancellations greatly affect us. We never overbook our property, consequently when we guarantee an accommodation we miss the opportunity to book that room to others. We strictly adhere to our cancellation policy.
Cancellations, shortened stays, or change in dates require a 14 day notice prior to arrival date. Cancellations with 14+ days notice will not be penalized if the deposit is retained on a house account for a future stay, otherwise a processing fee of $50 will be withheld and the balance will be refunded.
Cancellations with less than 14 days notice are not eligible for a refund of the deposit. However, the deposit will be kept on a house account to be used for a future stay or may be transferred to a gift card upon request.
No cancellations or changes may be made within 7 days of check-in and will result in the full charge for the entire stay. No house credit will be given.

MINIMUM STAY: A three-night minimum stay is required for any booking made from June 16 thru September 11 unless otherwise noted in availability. We happily accomodate 2 night stays for the remainder of the year.
OCCUPANCY: Our rooms can only accommodate a maximum of the 2 registered guests based upon the size of the room and local fire and saftey guidelines. If at any time it is found that a guest is in violation of this policy they may be asked to leave the premises and all reservation dollars and applicable taxes will be forfeited.
AGE RESTRICTION: Guests must be 21 to reserve a room and check in.
CARS: 1 Car - Sorry we can only accommodate 1 car per room.
SMOKING: All our rooms are non-smoking Also no candles or incense please. If you smoke in your room there will be a $100 cleaning charge.
PETS: Sorry No Pets are permitted
CHILDREN: While we love children our rooms are just too small to accomodate a cot or crib beyond the existing guest bed.
DAMAGE: Damage to the property, including but not limited to guest rooms, fixtures, furnishings, artwork, décor or linens, will result in a charge of 100% of fair replacement value or necessary cleaning.
COMMUNICATIONS: We offer complimentary WiFi.
